The France and Germany Star
This star was awarded for service in France, Belgium, Holland or Germany between D-Day, the 6th of June
1944, and the German surrender on the 8th of May 1945. The qualifications for Army personnel were as follows:
(1) Participation in any operation on land in any of the above mentioned countries.
(2) Visits of an official nature lasting more than thirty days qualified.
