Railway Pioneer Regiment
Alex Davidson joined the 1st Battalion of the Railway Pioneer Regiment on the 28th of December 1899 at Johannesburg. He transferred to the Rand Rifles on the 18th of August 1900. While serving with the Railway Pioneer Regiment he earned the Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps [CAPE COLONY][ORANGE FREE STATE] and [TRANSVAAL].
